His staff experience includes five years at Toronto District Headquarters which is now known as 32 Canadian Brigade Group Headquarters.
In 1993 he attended the Land Command and Staff College in Kingston, Ontario. From there BGen Chapman’s civilian career took him to the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia. In September 2008, BGen Chapman transferred to Land Force Central Area Headquarters as the Assistant Chief of Staff, Operations.
