DESCRIPTION:The Girl’s Kit Project provides reusable menstruation kits to
  girls in rural Consuelo\, Dominican Republic\, where poverty forces many
  to miss at least 5 days of school each month. This lack of access to bas
 ic hygiene products contributes to missed education and early pregnancies
 . Since 2015\, the project has helped girls stay in school\, boosting the
 ir self-esteem and reducing early pregnancies. Our goal is to create 250 k
 its for 5 schools. Each kit includes flannel liners\, shields\, underwear
 \, and hygiene supplies. This event will assemble the kits and provide ess
 ential support through sewing\, fabric cutting\, and material donations.
