When Mayor Mel Lastman in November of 1997 made the statement, "When you drive around and you see homeless people lying on the street, sleeping in bus shelters, it just turns your stomach that his is happening in this rich a city. We need to find solutions", our Club found one that was relevant. A fleet of vans to help these people get to where they could find help and shelter. Out of the Cold, Canadian Blood Services, Moorelands Camp, The Good Neighbours' Club, Native Men's Residence and Anishnawbe Health felt the caring hands of Rotary.
