In 1963 the National Ballet of Canada asked the Club to sponsor their move from Toronto's Royal Alexandra Theatre (1,497 seat) to the much larger O'Keefe Centre (3,250 seats). The National Ballet drew upon the considerable administrative and marketing skills of the Club's Special Events Committee (developed during the years of Metropolitan Opera sponsorship), and made a very successful transition within two years.
