Our partner for this evening, which will receive half the proceeds, is Keeping the Circle Strong Camp Programs, supported by the Indigenous Spirit Fund (Native Child and Family Services of Toronto). The camps allow young people, many of whom live in city apartments and basements, to have their first experiences connecting with nature. At the camps they learn the history of the land, culture and land-based survival skills, and participate in teamwork tasks that build confidence and self-esteem.

The other half of our proceeds will go to our Club’s philanthropic committees.

Be sure to join us as we gather to make a difference in the lives of Indigenous children and young people!

Dear Rotarian and Friends:
I’m writing to request your corporate sponsorship for The Rotary Club of Toronto fundraiser to be held from 5 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. on Thursday Sept. 15 at the St. James Cathedral Centre Event Venue.

Miinawaa – Eyiizh / And – Both is a Rotary-Indigenous fundraising event of community coming together. The event includes Indigenous entertainment and live and silent auctions. The beneficiaries will be the Rotary Club of Toronto Philanthropic Fund and Keeping the Circle Strong Camp Programs, supported by the Indigenous Spirit Fund (Native Child and Family Services of Toronto). http://www.indigenousspiritfund.org
The Rotary Philanthropic committees address economic, social and environmental challenges including: homelessness, hunger, social injustice, access to education and challenges facing those living in poverty. Funding priority is directed to the fields of health, education, youth and welfare, primarily in the Greater Toronto Area.
Native Child and Family Services of Toronto (NCFST) focuses on the well-being, caring and healing of children and families in the Toronto Indigenous community. The Keeping the Circle Strong Camp Programs of the Indigenous Spirit Fund run year-round and allow young people, many of whom are raised in city apartments and basements, to have their first experiences connecting with nature. At the camps they learn the history of the land; culture, including medicines and healing herbs; artwork; and land-based survival skills. They also participate in teamwork tasks that build confidence and self-esteem.
The Rotary Club of Toronto is committed to walking the path of reconciliation with the Indigenous peoples of Canada. Our goal is to work in partnership with Indigenous peoples, groups and organizations, learning about their history, culture and contributions to our society. We hope that you will join us on this journey by making a contribution to our event.

Please make your corporate sponsorship contribution, in the name of corporate sponsor, at: http://office@rotarytoronto.com and it is important please to let me know that you have done so at jandras@researchcapital.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
