Biography
Andrew Phillips has been editor of the Toronto Star’s editorial pages since January 2011. In the autumn of 2022 he moved from behind-the-scenes to be a featured columnist.
Previously he was editor of the Victoria Times Colonist and The Gazette in Montreal.
He has also been a writer and editor at The Montreal Gazette, CBC Television News and Maclean’s, where he also held the post of European Bureau Chief, as well as business editor of the Star.
He holds a degree in history and economics from McGill University and taught journalism at Concordia University.
