A transformational leader, social innovator and changemaker, Dr. Wendy Cukier founded Ryerson’s Diversity Institute in 1999 to advance opportunities for women and underrepresented groups in the workplace. Her advocacy and research helped shape the recent Bill C-25 to advance diversity on boards; she created the Ryerson University Lifeline Syria Challenge, which sponsored 400 refugees; she developed  the Women’s Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub and helped create the Future Skills Centre to equip Canadians with the skills needed to prosper. She has mentored countless entrepreneurs, social activists, students and young professionals at different stages of their careers. Wendy holds a Bachelor’s degree from Brock University, an MA in History, an MBA from the University of Toronto, a PhD from York University in Management Science, honorary doctorates from Concordia (LLD) and Laval (DU).
