Throughout it all, you have not only stood strong, rather collectively we have successfully delivered on every aspect of our Vision, Mission and Values. Achieving greater member engagement, community impact, diversity, astounding membership growth, and meaningful collaboration than ever before, in a more efficient and effective manner.

Alan grew up in Dublin, Ireland and then moved to Canada. He has two teenage
children, Yvonne and Pierce.
He has an L.L.B. from Osgoode Hall and was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1997. He worked as a management consultant for DRM and IBM and as a private consultant.
He founded Freshpet, a pet food company that is now listed on the NASDAQ and later founded another pet food company and continues with his management
consulting. He is presently working on a project to expand production in a mining company which has implications for carbon capture.
At one time he pivoted to creative writing.
NEW MEMBER Jeff Pollock
Jeff Pollock co-founded Schneider & Pollock Wealth Management Inc. in 2020.
Jeff graduated from the Schulich School of Business with a Bachelor of Business
Administration. He received a Juris Doctor from the Faculty of Law at the University of Windsor and a(CFA) designation. Previously, Jeff worked at Research Analyst at Baskin Financial and then at Vestcap
Investment Management.
Born and raised in Toronto, Jeff now lives in the downtown core and is the President and CFO of the Spadina-Fort York PC Party of Ontario riding association and a member of The National Club.
President Prince was pleased to present member Mitra Goodarzi her Rotary Warrior pin.
Mitra has been responsible for the past year to gather up, cajole and remind our own members to share their hobby experiences in our members only segment.

Long-term care home unveils 'Rainbow Wing' for LGBTQ2 residents in Toronto CBC article
A long-term care home operator unveiled a "Rainbow Wing" at one of its downtown Toronto facilities on Saturday to address the need for a dedicated space for LGBTQ2 seniors.
Rekai Centres opened the 25-bed wing at its home at Wellesley Central Place. Residents, staff and community members gathered to celebrate the opening.
I am happy to inform you that the June 21 event passed off wonderfully well.
The EMCEE was Brian Cope, a renowned and respected singer, performer and TV personality from the LGBTQ2 community who, after introductions gave a scintillating performance with songs, anecdotes and stories from the LGBTQ2 space. A few stories going back to the earlier years of Canada described the seclusion, persecution, discrimination of the LGBTQ2 community which caused harm to the community in the form of fear, depression, dementia and hiding from community.
The event was kicked off by Ms. Sue Graham Nutter – CEO of REKAI group.
This was followed by a welcome speech by President Prince where he also recognized the gratitude owed by us all to the Indigenous Community. Special mention was mentioned to the hard work put in by the REKAI & Caring Touch team.
Joseph Friedman Burley, Management Consultant, Seniors Services, Seniors Services and Long-Term Care, City of Toronto then spoke about the City’s various efforts.
Some 85 residents out of a total of 125 were brought out of their rooms in batches to participate, where they listened to music, had refreshments / coffee and were given Care Packages. Some refused to come down and refreshments and care packages were sent to their rooms.

Rotaract Club of Toronto Changeover
President Prince has had a busy week!
On Saturday June 18th he joined the Rotaract Club of Toronto for their annual changeover meeting which was held in the Harbourfront area.

I would like to invite you to register early to the Rotary International Convention in Melbourne next year as there are great savings by doing so before June 12, 2022 (midnight). The registration fee is increasing gradually to $675 USD after April 1, 2023. The earlier you register the better!
As President Elect for 2022-23, I will have the honour to host a fabulous party for all Rotary Club of Toronto members attending the Convention. I know it's a little far for a party but if Australia is on your bucket list, this is an amazing excuse to get planning. Attending a RI Convention is where one realises the reach and impact that we have worldwide. You will be inspired, I promise you.
