Celebrating Carnival!
We will be joined by members of the Rotary/Rotaract Clubs of St. Vincent and the Grenadines who our club, district and others have been helping with funds to aid those affected by the recent volcano eruption. The clubs have been doing a lot of hands on work.

Friday July 23rd we welcomed June Brown, a professional Storyteller, for our "How We Hobby" segment in our Members section. Anny-Sandra Hamel described her office 'stuff' as she moves into her role as Vice-President.
We highlighted one of our donation recipients - Toronto Wildlife Centre - more below.
Our main speaker was the duo of Past President Richard White and his son Keelan talking about Wilderness Canoe adventures. Just in time to enjoy this experience yourself!
Wednesday July 28 was President's Cocktails, with an Olympic Winners theme. The meeting was organized by Dauna Jones-Simmonds, Chair Membership Engagement Committee, and the New Members Team. We can be proud that we gained 13 new members since the start of the pandemic. And what a group it is! They had an introductory video and Andrew St. John taught us how to mix a cocktail and mocktail. A fun time was had by all. Prince is delighted because 5 of them have joined our expanded technical team.
Natali and Mohamed Saad met in May 2017 in Dubai and their first date was at a Rotary meeting. Natali moved to Canada in June 2020. in August 2020 they got officially engaged in Egypt and on July 27th 2021 they tied the knot at a very intimate ceremony in ISNA mosque in Mississauga. They will have another wedding ceremony later this year in Egypt with a big family.

Are you a new Rotary or Rotaract member in the last two years? Are you an older member who would like to learn even more about Rotary? On Wednesday, August 25 from 7 to 8 pm the Rotary District 7070 Membership Committee is hosting a fourth New Member Zoom get-together. There is lots of interesting info about our Rotary organization and often there is not enough time in a regular meeting to ensure that new members get to hear about it.
