President Binoy Luckoo with our Keynote speaker Ms Amah Harris
The National Club was filled with the sound of steel drums as we celebrated Caribana!
Our keynote speaker Amah Harris eloquently delved into the vibrant history and cultural significance of Caribana highlighting its roots in Caribbean traditions, its economic contributions and evolution in Canada.
In her presentation "Caribana: A Journey Through Time" she vividly illustrated how the festival has become a powerful symbol of community, identity, and artistic expression.
Through captivating storytelling Amah masterfully blended historical insights with personal narratives and left us with a deeper appreciation for the spirit of unity, resilience, and creativity that defines Caribana!
In the words of our President : "May the spirit of Caribana inspire us to spread goodwill and strengthen our bonds in our community!"
Thank you to IDEA - our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility Working Group for organizing such an informative and fun event!
