The Girl’s Kit Project provides reusable menstruation kits to girls in rural Consuelo, Dominican Republic, where poverty forces many to miss at least 5 days of school each month. This lack of access to basic hygiene products contributes to missed education and early pregnancies. Since 2015, the project has helped girls stay in school, boosting their self-esteem and reducing early pregnancies.
Our goal is to create 250 kits for 5 schools. Each kit includes flannel liners, shields, underwear, and hygiene supplies. This event will assemble the kits and provide essential support through sewing, fabric cutting, and material donations.
By hosting this event, we directly contribute to breaking the cycle of poverty, helping girls
stay in school, and empowering their future.
